BOSS Tom Killick believes Poole Town have a “better” side than title rivals Corby – and has challenged the Dolphins to go out and prove it.
The Evo-Stik Southern Premier championship rests on Saturday's tantalising last-day showdown at Tatnam (3pm) with just goal difference separating the top two.
Poole – captained by ex-AFC Totton defender Jamie Whisken - are back on top after Tuesday’s 0-0 stalemate at Weymouth and need only a draw tomorrow to take the title and automatic promotion to the Conference South. Corby need a win to lift the crown.
Backing his players to see the job through, Killick said: “You don’t know how the game is going to pan out.
“It might be a game of few chances that gets settled by a mistake or a moment of magic, or it could be really open.
“We have played them three times this season, so both teams will have gathered a lot of knowledge and we have to carefully consider what our approach will be.
“The emphasis has probably shifted because a draw would be sufficient for us and you would imagine that could impact on how Corby set up.
“They have a big threat in wide areas and pace all over the park.
“They are a strong side, but I feel we are batter so we have to try to prove it.”
