BOURNEMOUTH’S former AFC Totton loanee Baily Cargill has been named in the England under-20s squad for the Toulon Tournament which kicks off in France tomorrow.

The 19-year-old could potentially follow in the footsteps of Cherries boss Eddie Howe, who featured twice at the tournament in 1998 for England’s under-21s.

Cargill & co. will face China, Ivory Coast, Mexico and Morocco in Group B.

The winners of that group will take on the victors of Group A, which contains hosts France, the Netherlands, the United States, Costa Rica and Qatar.

The runners-up in both groups will contest a third place play-off.

Winchester-born Cargill, who grew up as a Saints fan and was named Totton's supporters' player-of-the-year for 2012/13, scored on his England debut in their 2-2 friendly draw with Canada at Dean Court in November.

He earned a further cap in a 4-2 penalty shootout win over Mexico in March.

He is joined in the England under-20 squad by Southampton’s Harrison Reed and Jack Stephens and Chelsea’s former Pace Youth midfielder John Swift who, like Stephens, has been on loan at Swindon Town.

Aidy Boothroyd’s Young Lions are looking to extend their unbeaten record from eight games this season.

They kick off their Toulon campaign against Morocco on Thursday (May 28, 6pm) at the Stade Leo Lagrange.
