SOUTHAMPTON AC’s Rory Farrell went one better than last year at the South of England Combined Events Championships.
Having taken silver in 2014, the 18-year-old this time won the under-20 men’s decathlon title at Bedford with a season’s best points total of 5,305.
Clubmate Arm Harwan, 14, was on target for a personal best score in the under-15 boys’ pentathlon. Unfortunately, though, he was injured in the long jump and unable to finish the event.
