Today's America's Cup World Series racing on the Solent has been moved forward to midday because of an expected gap in the poor weather.

Organisers have moved the start time forward by 90 minutes in line with a break in the rain that is hitting Hampshire.

"Due to the weather forecast for winds in excess of 30mph to come in during the original racing window of 1330 to 1500 hrs today, Sunday 26th July, the Regatta Director has decided to bring racing forward with a scheduled start time of 1200 noon," a statement read.

"The objective is to get at least one of the two scheduled races today completed during the new weather window of 1200 to 1315.

"The event gates will still open at 1000hrs as planned, with a full show running ahead."
