HAMBLE Club warmed up for next weekend’s mouthwatering Hampshire Premier League clash with Baffins Milton Rovers by romping to a 4-0 win at Paulsgrove.

Shane Flooks fired a 19-minute hat-trick as the reigning champions claimed their 14th win in 16 matches to remain a point clear of Liss Athletic.

Flooks opened the scoring in the 37th minute with Pete Castle – a member of Sholing’s successful 2014 FA Vase-winning side – doubling the advantage just before the interval.

Flooks completed his treble in the second half with goals in the 51st and 57th minutes as Hamble took their goals tally to 71 in 16 games.

Baffins Milton will provide Hamble with a huge test, though.

The Portsmouth club are only four points behind Hamble, and have three games in hand, after their 13th successive win.

The 2013/14 HPL champions are the only team in the division yet to drop a point, and their latest victory was their best of the campaign so far.

They went to Otterbourne, who had won 13 of their first 15 league games, and claimed a 2-1 success.

Luke Musselwhite opened the scoring in only the second minute, and Chaz Gardner added a second two minutes into the second half.

The Otters reduced the arrears through Steve Hall in the 54th minute.

Liss are only a point behind Hamble with a game in hand after a 5-0 thrashing of Hedge End Rangers.

Lenny Burney kickstarted the win in the second minute, and by half-time it was 3-0 with Perry Easton on target twice.

Dan Sharpe struck twice in the space of three minutes just before the hour mark.

Second half goals from Steve Harding and Ryan Angear gave Liphook a 2-0 home win over Stockbridge.

Blob – Shane Lock struck twice as Andover Lions maintained their 100 per cent record in Division 1 of the Hampshire Premier League.

The Lions roared to a 4-0 victory at second placed Hayling to extend their lead to eight points.

Max Allen opened the scoring in the 17th minute and Hayling were heading to only their second league loss in ten games with Lock netted his brace within six minutes of the second half starting.

Robbie Owen completed the scoring in the 88th minute.

Ricky Peters scored the only goal as Four Marks inflicted an eighth loss in nine games on rock bottom Michelmersh & Timsbury.
