DUSAN Tadic has returned to the Serbia national team fold following a falling out with previous manager Radovan Curcic back in March.

The Saints man was left out of the squad for friendlies against Estonia and Poland earlier this year, and he lashed out at Curcic for not selecting him.

The 27-year-old  then admitted that he'd refuse any future call-ups while the current boss was in charge.

Tadic, who had a fine finish to the season with Saints, is now back in the team after Curcic stepped down, and starts in the Serbian's friendly against Cyprus today.

Experienced boss Slavoljub Muslin, who last managed Standard Liege, is now in charge.

At the time of the falling out, Tadic was reported to have said: "I play in the world's strongest league and then I find out in the newspapers that I am no longer good enough to play for the national team.

"Someone could have at least called me and told me over the phone. This is humiliating and disrespectful, hence I will no longer play for Serbia while Curcic is in charge.

"I don't think Curcic is up to the task. I'd like to be more positive but a coach who has not been in charge of a top team aiming for titles does not have the potential, the authority or the knowledge to lead a national team to victories."

Curcic stepped down after failing to qualify for Euro 2016.

He said: "Unfortunately, after some bad results in [qualifying], my staff have lost support and we decided to leave our posts.

"Our main interest is to have a better Serbia in the future and I wish our players, the new head coach and supporters all the best. I believe Serbia will qualify for the World Cup."
