SAINTS legend Rickie Lambert scored his first goals for 11 months today.

The striker scored twice as Cardiff City moved out of the Championship relegation zone with a 2-1 win at Rotherham.

Lambert is on loan to the Welsh club from West Bromwich Albion, and prior to today had only scored three goals in 48 league appearances since leaving Saints in May 2014.

Lambert only scored twice in the Premier League for Liverpool in 2014/15, while his only goal for West Brom in the top flight last season was a penalty in October.

Lambert headed Peter Whittingham's inswinging cross home on 74 minutes, before he fired past Lee Camp with a deflected effort five minutes later.
