If you look at the facts of the Ramirez deal....Bologna's chairman was annoyed that the player had gone public before any deal ad been agreed between the clubs. Nothing to do with Cortese. And according to the 'Football Italia News' website, Cortese has contacted Bologna and asked if they can start negotiations from scratch, which it seems has been agreed.

I don't undertand why you can't enjoy yourself. Eventually (later rather than sooner I hope) Nigel, Nicola and the Liebherrs will move on and who knows what will happen then. Whilst here, there is a culture of posiivity, belief and a winning, never say die mentality that only really went missing on a handful of occasions last season, blackpool, reading and middlesborough, at the business end fo example. Nicola has set his boundaries so everyone knows where we stand. Some of it we may find unpalletable but I would rather prudent, targeted spending and, don't forget this is a private business, so yes making as much money as possible to make us secure. What a load of rubbish. We have achieved two back to back promotions achieved with a net transfer spend of £3 million.We obviously have money to invest in the team. It is clear that there was a problem with the Buttner deal and the Ramirez deal may still go through.The Davis deal was nothing to do with the Club not doing their homework, evryone else signing players from Rangers faced the same hurdles as Saints.Wait until the transfer window is closed before making a judgement on new signings for this season.
