Hampshire cricket chairman Rod Bransgrove has donated £1,000 in a show of support for Francis Benali.
The former Saints star is running 1,000 miles in 21 days between all 20 Premier League grounds to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
And now kind hearted Ageas Bowl boss Bransgrove has coughed up a four figure sum to help push Benali towards a fantastic total of £60,000 raised so far.
Bransgrove donated via Benali’s Just Giving page and wrote: “Franny. What you are doing is unbelievable and heroic. You’re a true megastar! And wonderful support from your fabulous family. Love and respect from Rod, Mandy, Lucy and Jack xx.”
