Saints have begun their team-building trip to Switzerland, in the spectacular surroundings of Davos.

The club's manager Ronald Koeman this morning posted a photo on Twitter of himself with some of the players and coaching staff in front of a snow-topped mountain in the exclusive resort.

Defender Toby Alderweireld also used his Instagram account to show off some of the jaw-dropping scenery that has greeted the squad, who are not in action until a week on Sunday, when they visit Chelsea.

Not everyone was too keen to venture outside to take part in the activities, however, with winger Eljero Elia preferring the warmth of the team's hotel.

Midfielder Victor Wanyama was also a little uncertain about how he was going to get on.

With conditions in his homeland of Kenya a little different to what he is experiencing now, he posted a video on Instagram with the message: "How do I survive here?"

Saints flew out to Switzerland yesterday and will remain there until Saturday.

They will, obviously, not be conducting any training during their trip, but will instead take part in some team-bonding activities.

Today, they were playing ice hockey at the stadium of local team HC Davos.

Here's another look at the scenery, this time through the eyes of Saints keeper Fraser Forster.
