Steven Davis will lead Northern Ireland out in a friendly with Scotland tonight – as they prepare for a huge Euro 2016 qualifier against Finland.

Northern Ireland are currently second in Group F, with three wins from their opening four matches.

On Sunday, they host fourth-placed Finland, knowing a victory would push them even closer to a first major tournament appearance since the 1986 World Cup.

Davis is hoping tonight’s encounter at Hampden Park (7.45pm) will ensure they are well prepared.

“We play Scotland, so, obviously, that’s a good chance for the manager,” he said.

“I think whenever players come together again, it’s just about getting the manager’s idea in terms of how he wants to play, because everybody plays differently at clubs, so just reiterate it and bang it into the lads’ heads again and we’ll get fully focused for the qualifier on Sunday.”

Elsewhere, a trio of Saints could feature for the England Under-20 side, as they host Mexico in a friendly, at Barnet (7.45pm).

Harrison Reed, Jack Stephens and Jordan Turnbull are all in the squad and will be hoping to see some action.

So too will goalkeeper Cody Cropper, who is hoping for a first senior USA cap.

The 22-year-old is with Jurgen Klinsmann’s squad for the friendly away to Denmark (7.15pm).
