The Daily Echo brings you a round-up of the Saints-related transfer rumours appearing in the media today...

SAINTS are set to miss out on Senegal midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to the Daily Mail.

The paper reports that the club have been chasing the Lille midfielder, only for him to agree last night to join Marseille in a £7.5m deal.

They add that Saints manager Ronald Koeman had identified the 25-year-old as a replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin, if he leaves this summer, meaning he will now need to switch targets.

The Mail also claim that Saints have discussed a £7m bid for Juventus centre-back Angelo Ogbonna, 27.

Elsewhere, the Daily Telegraph say that Morgan Schneiderlin is expected to seal a £24m move to Manchester United before the end of the week.

The Daily Express also report similar, after saying United were snubbed by Bastian Schweinsteiger, with the Germany international planning to stay at Bayern Munich.

That is all despite Koeman confirming last night that Saints are still waiting on an offer from United, with the only contact from the Reds so far understood to be an enquiry made earlier this month.
