The Daily Echo brings you a round-up of the Saints-related transfer rumours appearing in the media today.

TOTTENHAM chairman Daniel Levy is flying out to Spain in an attempt to snatch Toby Alderweireld away from Saints, according to reports.

The Evening Standard reports that the Spurs supremo is due to meet with bosses at Atletico Madrid in an attempt to secure the defender's signing.

The latest fee being reported is 'in excess of £10m' although previous amounts reported go as high as £15m.

Saints had an option to buy Alderweireld after his loan spell for just under £7m, but Atletico were able to cancel that for £1.5m

The Spanish side did just that, opening the door for rival clubs to come in and try to sign the player, who is said to be keen on returning to the Premier League following his impressive spell under Ronald Koeman at St Mary's.

However, Southampton are still confident they can land the Belgium international's signature permanently.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mirror also give their take on the Alderweireld situation, while adding that Saints are involved in a "tug of war" with Bournemouth for St Etienne winger Max Gradel.

The paper reports that the Cherries have had a £4m bid rejected for the former Leeds man, with the French club wanting closer to £7m, while Saints have also registered an interest in the 27-year-old Ivory Coast international.
