Graziano Pelle is set to be fit to face Swansea at the weekend.

The Italian striker was not risked for the win over MK Dons in midweek after taking a kick to his foot, but is expected to return to the side on Saturday.

Ryan Bertrand is also in contention for a first start of the season after making his return from injury in midweek, but Jordy Clasie is not quite fit.

“Jordy is doing normal training with the rest of the players,” reported Koeman.

“He’s not available for the weekend, that’s too fast.

“I have good hope he can be part of the squad for the next weekend but it is depending how he develops next week.”

Of Bertrand he added: “Very pleased that Ryan is back. We know that he is not 100 per cent because he didn’t have a normal pre-season but he needs game time.

“The final decision is up to the manager if he will start on Saturday or if he is coming in on the game.”
