JAY Rodriguez has revealed on social media that his recovery from injury is "going strong" and that he is back in training.
The Saints forward has been sidelined for more than three months with a foot problem.
It was initially expected that Rodriguez would be out for around eight weeks, but there has been little indication until now that he is near a return to action.
The last time the 26-year-old played was as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Leicester at St Mary's on 17 October.
Now, the ex-Burnley man has given Saints fans a glimmer of hope as he fights his way back to full fitness.
The England forward has posted on Instagram: "Buzzing to have the boots back on and out there training again! Recovery going strong!"
