Charlie Austin is expected to be fit enough to face West Ham after being left out of the squad to face Arsenal as precaution.
The striker, who made a dramatic debut as he climbed off the bench to score the winner against Manchester United, picked up a knock in training.
Ronald Koeman decided not to risk him at the Emirates, but thinks he will be ready to face the Hammers at St Mary’s on Saturday.
Koeman said: “It was risky to take him to the squad.
“It’s not a serious injury and normally he will be available for the weekend.
“He didn’t have a good session on Monday and if you know his past he was five weeks out and I prefer to wait one week more and then we have the player back.”
