SAINTS have once again been linked with Juventus striker Simone Zaza as Jay Rodriguez prepares for a potential loan move.
The Italian international is known to be unwanted by Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri, which has led to speculation that he may well be heading for the Premier League, with Saints having already been touted as a possible destination earlier this summer, according to The Sun.
A move to German side Wolfsburg collapsed recently, while Crystal Palace were also said to be considering a move for the £20 million-rated frontman, who made 24 appearances for the Serie A giants last term, along with Saints.
However the most likely destination for the 25-year-old seems to be West Ham at this stage, with the player’s father suggesting that a move to Londoners might be favourable.
“West Ham are a solution we’d appreciate and represent something more concrete,” he said. “We’ll have to see what Juventus do and expect news soon.”
