Ahead of the 2024 Graduate Fashion Week, 15 Solent University students have been handpicked for the Talent of Tomorrow campaign.

Studying across Fashion Photography, Makeup and Hair Design, Fashion Media, and Fashion Design, these undergraduates are preparing to graduate and shape their future in the fashion industry.

Solent is one of only 32 universities participating in this campaign, which endorses promising new talent. Showcasing high-quality photography and innovative makeup looks, and fashion designs, the chosen students will partake in a large-scale photo shoot in East London.

Associate director at Graduate Fashion Foundation, Megan Doyle, said: "The Talent of Tomorrow photoshoot is a fantastic opportunity for the Graduate Fashion Foundation to champion emerging creatives not just by shooting innovative designs, but by sharing the experience with the next generation of stylists, photographers, creative directors and content creators.

"We’re thrilled to be supported by Solent’s incredible makeup artists and to highlight some designers from the Class of 2024."

The campaign is a major part of promoting Graduate Fashion Week, now in its 33rd year and taking place from June 10 to June 13. The project has been boosted by exciting content collected from creative students in the UK, including a number of contributions from chosen Solent students.

Graduate Fashion Week serves to bridge the gap between education and employment and is globally recognised as an essential platform for graduates in fashion and design.

Meanwhile, the Talent of Tomorrow campaign provides an exceptional opportunity for students to enhance their portfolios and create invaluable industry connections across fashion, photography, beauty, and design.

During the week, Solent’s Makeup and Hair Design students, under their professional collective, GUNK Pro, will design looks for the runway models. These students will be sponsored for the first time by the globally-renowned makeup company, Huda Beauty.

Ruby Harvey, a third-year Makeup and Hair Design student, said: "Being involved in the Graduate Fashion Week campaign has given me a chance to start believing in my own skills and enabled me to network and develop myself as a professional.

"It's an amazing opportunity to collaborate with other passionate creatives and see visions come to life whilst building on real industry experience."
